Altoona is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I recommend going anywhere else if you need metal fabrication work done. I dropped off an emission pipe in March of last year, because I needed it cut/welded to fit a car I am working on. I included a template of exactly what I needed. Chris (their machine shop guy), said he would work on it. Around September (5 months later), I still hadn't heard anything - so I called to check progress. Chris told me he'd been 'slacking' on some projects, but not to worry, he should be able to get to it in "the next week or two". So, I patiently waited... End of December rolls around, still nothing, so I called back again for an update. This time he tells me, "It's still here, I haven't had time to get to it. It's hard to get to the smaller stuff with all the big stuff I have to work on." I ask him bluntly, "are you going to get to it?" He says, "give him a couple weeks and he'll see what he can do." Fast forward to today, FEB 20, 2026 - one week shy of waiting a FULL YEAR! I decided to pay a visit in person to check on progress. The pipe was still sitting in the exact same spot on his desk that I dropped it off last March. Imagine taking your car to a shop for an oil change, but it never a

Chunks of sandstone do not belong on the freeway. Should one be there anyway, I do not recommend hitting it. If the stars align against you as they did me and you do happen to smack one at 70 mph, Chris is willing to try to help you out. Nice folks. Unfortunately for me, the spokes were bent as well as the rim, so the wheel was unsalvageable.

Excellent service, super friendly helpful staff and these guys really know what they are doing. Got new axles under my trailer for me and did a lot of suspension work to my trailer. Thank you all so much.

They upgraded the rear spring pack on my Class C motorhome. It is on the Ford E350/450 chassis and it was very low in the back. They are excellent to work with and know what they are doing. The work they did adding plies to my rear spring stack raised the back of my motorhome 4". It is finally correct and rode much better, and for once didn't drag coming onto our road. I was very happy with the result.
